CEA-HOW is a Fellowship of men and women who meet to share their experience, strength, and hope with one another in order that they may solve their common problem and help those who still suffer to recover from compulsive eating. HOW meetings offer a disciplined and structured approach to the compulsive eater who accepts the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions as a program of recovery. We believe that compulsive eating is a progressive illness...one that, like alcoholism and some other illnesses, can be arrested. Remember, there is no shame in admitting you have a problem; the most important thing is to do something about it.
There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. CEA-HOW is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.
Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and to carry the message of recovery to those who still suffer.
